Berries

All colors and shapes and sizes: blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and so on, are dense with anti-oxidants, phytonutrients, fiber, and water. They are great by the handful or paired with a smoothie or oatmeal. Enjoy them with abandon, the benefits of fresh, organic berries are tremendous and their taste can’t be beat!

Beans

Beans, beans, they’re good for the heart…even kids know it. Loaded with fiber and protein, and found in multiple varieties that serve perfectly as a centerpiece or side dish to a meal, they deserve some love. Full of flavor, and health benefits (they have been shown to help fight multiple cancers, heart ailments, and obesity/diabetes) beans are a workhorse of the superfood world. Be sure to soak dry beans well, if not overnight to remove the phytic acid that surrounds them. Sprouting your beans adds a new level to their health benefits, adding enzymatic action to the list.
