50 Cent Fires Back at NYC Socialist: “’I’m Telling Trump What You Said!'”

Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent just fired off more than bars—he launched a full-on social media strike against NYC Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani, who name-dropped him while defending a plan to raise taxes on the city’s top earners.

Mamdani, campaigning for the Democratic primary, appeared on The Breakfast Club podcast to pitch his proposal to “Trump-proof” New York by hiking corporate taxes and tacking on a 2% flat tax for those making over $1 million a year. “If 50 Cent is listening, he’s not going to like this,” Mamdani joked. “But it’s just $20,000. A rounding error.”

The Queens-born rapper didn’t take kindly to being the poster child for someone else’s tax hike. In an Instagram post dripping with sarcasm, 50 Cent wrote: “Where did he come from? Whose friend is this? I’m not feeling this plan. No. I’ll give him $258,750 and a first-class one-way ticket out of NY. I’m telling Trump what he said too!”

This isn’t the first time 50’s blasted liberal tax plans. Back in 2020, he made headlines endorsing Trump over Joe Biden’s proposed tax rates, writing, “WHAT THE F–K! (VOTE For TRUMP) I’M OUT… 62%? Are you outta ya f–king mind?”

Though he later dialed back that endorsement, his latest post shows he’s still allergic to high tax talk—especially when his name gets dragged into the debate. Message to Mamdani? You mess with 50’s wallet, you get the mic dropped.
