Donald Trump is fuming — and he’s pointing fingers. In a blistering post on Truth Social, the former president torched Democrats, accusing them of leaking top-secret intel about a U.S. airstrike on Iranian nuclear sites. Trump says the intel leak undermined the mission, which he initially declared had obliterated the targets.
“The Democrats are the ones who leaked the information on the PERFECT FLIGHT to the Nuclear Sites in Iran. They should be prosecuted!” Trump wrote, capital letters and all.
The leak, first reported by CNN and The New York Times, suggested the strike didn’t fully take out Iran’s nuclear facilities — just delayed them a few months. Now, a full-blown FBI leak probe is underway.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the investigation, blasting the media’s portrayal of the strike. “This was an overwhelming success,” he said, calling out what he sees as a politically motivated spin job.
Trump isn’t buying the press narrative either. He unloaded on “FAKE NEWS REPORTERS FROM CNN & THE NEW YORK TIMES,” demanding they be fired and even threatened a defamation lawsuit.
Meanwhile, intelligence officials like CIA Director and DNI Tulsi Gabbard are backing Trump’s claims, stating further analysis shows the sites were destroyed, contradicting the early leaks.
Democrats like Chuck Schumer, however, are crying foul, claiming there’s no coherent strategy and demanding a war powers vote.
The White House also slammed CNN for a false claim that Congress wasn’t notified ahead of the strike — a report CNN later corrected.
Sabotage? Trump suspects sabotage, and he’s not letting it go unaddressed. He wants heads to roll, lawsuits to fly, and leakers to face justice. Whether that happens remains to be seen — but one thing’s clear: the gloves are off.
