MAGA Senators Shrug Off Musk’s Threats: ‘We Won’t Be Bullied by Billionaires”

Republican senators are laughing off Elon Musk’s latest meltdown, as the billionaire tech mogul threatens to bankroll primary challengers against any Republican who dares to back President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Budget Bill.”

The irony? Musk built his empire on the backs of American taxpayers. SpaceX and Tesla have devoured over $30 billion in taxpayer-funded contracts, subsidies, and special credits—money that President Trump and America’s working class supplied. Now, Musk’s tantrum about Trump’s smart, strategic spending plan shows just how out of touch the Silicon Valley elite really are with the America First movement.

Trump’s landmark budget bill, which he proudly calls “beautiful,” puts America first—fueling jobs, rebuilding infrastructure, and protecting our industries from globalist entanglements. Musk’s complaints about the deficit ring hollow coming from a man whose companies pocketed billions in pollution credits and low-interest federal loans. Without those Trump-era policies, Musk’s dreams of robotaxis and rocket launches might still be stuck on the launchpad.

GOP senators aren’t worried. “We’re ignoring him,” said one senior Republican aide. “He can rant all he wants, but he’s not moving the MAGA base.” Trump himself reminded Americans how much Musk owes to federal dollars, noting on Truth Social that “without the American taxpayer, Elon might be back in South Africa, no Teslas, no rockets, no subsidies.”

As Tesla’s sales plummet, incentives disappear, and regulators eye Musk’s self-driving tech, the billionaire’s real problem isn’t Washington—it’s that America is waking up. Under Trump, we’re protecting American jobs, industry, and taxpayers. If Elon doesn’t like it, perhaps he should finally repay the American worker who made him rich.
