Dick Van Dyke Can’t Believe He’s Still Hitting the Gym at 99: “Wait… I’m How Old?!

Dick Van Dyke is out here proving that age really is just a number! The 99-year-old Hollywood legend still hits the gym three times a week—and even he can’t believe it.

“I’m almost 100. This is insane,” he told Ted Danson on the Where Everybody Knows Your Name podcast.

Danson, who goes to the same gym, was in awe of Van Dyke’s workout style, not just because he lifts weights but because he dances between machines. That’s right, the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang star turns gym time into a full-on performance!

And his fitness routine doesn’t stop there. After the gym, he heads home, swims laps, and then takes a well-earned nap. “Good routine,” he joked. These days, he’s added yoga, sit-ups, and plenty of stretching to keep those legendary moves going strong.

Back in 2015, Van Dyke reflected on aging, saying he’s had to give up tennis, but he can still run, dance, and sing, which is what matters. He’s always asked older folks what they miss most; some say golf or lunch with friends.

But for those who say they regret business decisions, he thinks they’re missing the point.

Why Dining in the Sun is a Bright Idea

Ever noticed how food tastes better on a sunny picnic? Or how sitting by a bright window makes mealtime feel extra uplifting? Turns out, eating in natural light isn’t just a mood booster, it’s a legit health hack!

☀️ Boost Your Body Clock: Sunlight helps regulate your circadian rhythm, which controls digestion, metabolism, and sleep. A 2019 study found that eating in sync with daylight improves nutrient absorption and lowers the risk of metabolic diseases like Type 2 diabetes.

Happy Hormones, Healthy Appetite: Natural light ramps up serotonin, the “feel-good” hormone while balancing ghrelin (hunger hormone) and leptin (fullness hormone). Translation? You’re less likely to overeat or crave junk food.

Vitamin D for the Win: Sunlight on your skin boosts Vitamin D, improving calcium absorption, gut health, and even bone density. Bonus: better blood sugar control and metabolism!

Dietitian Pratiksha Kadam sums it up: “Your body thrives in daylight—so eating in the sun helps optimize digestion and weight management!”

Next time you eat, ditch the dim dining room, step outside, and soak up the benefits!

Get Off Your Butt, Your Heart’s Begging You!

Sitting too much isn’t just lazy—it’s a silent killer. A new Journal of the American College of Cardiology study exposes the ugly truth: parking yourself for over 10.5 hours a day cranks up your risk of heart disease. With 90,000 participants backing the findings, this isn’t just a scare tactic—it’s reality.

Dr. Joaquin Cigarroa, a top interventional cardiologist, breaks it down: your heart’s like a car engine—keep it moving, or it rusts. And no, that occasional trip to the fridge doesn’t count. Even 11 minutes of real exercise can slash your risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and early death.

Cigarroa’s fix? Start small, build up, and push yourself. Five minutes of walking today? Great. Next week, make it ten. Want real results? High-intensity workouts beat slow strolls on the treadmill any day. Lifting weights or power walking for 20 minutes is far superior to three hours of lazy walking.

With heart disease leading to U.S. deaths, there’s no excuse. February is American Heart Month—the perfect time to kickstart better habits. Bottom line? Move now, or pay later.

Trump’s Wins Keep Rolling In, and the Media Can’t Handle It, Says Leavitt

The mainstream media is scrambling to keep up with the torrent of good news pouring out of President Trump’s White House. Since taking office last month, President Trump has been a whirlwind of action, signing executive orders that fulfill his campaign promises and shake up the status quo. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt highlighted this momentum during her recent appearance on “Hannity.”

Leavitt emphasized, “I work for a president who is getting things done, who is delivering on the promises he made to the American people, and who speaks the truth.” She added, “It’s easy to do a good job when you are acting on common sense and you are speaking the truth. That’s exactly what President Trump is doing every single day.”

Despite significant achievements, such as recent diplomatic successes and decisive actions against ISIS terrorists, the legacy media has been slow to cover these victories. Leavitt noted, “There is so much good news, so much winning out of the Trump White House right now that the mainstream legacy media can’t keep up with it.”

Reflecting on the previous administration, Leavitt described it as “four years of chaos and mayhem” and expressed relief at having a president who stands up for America. She stated, “We have been viewed, rightfully so, as the best, proudest country in the world, and President Trump is not afraid to say that or to use that for the American people’s benefit.”

Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States is reclaiming its position as the shining city on a hill, with a leader unafraid to leverage the nation’s strength for the benefit of its citizens.

Corfu’s Liquid Gold Could be a  Potential Weapon Against Colon Cancer

What if your next drizzle of olive oil could do more than add flavor to your salad? Scientists are diving deep into the health benefits of a unique olive oil from Corfu, Greece, and the results are exciting!

A research team at Louisiana State University has been studying Lianolia Kerkyras olive oil, a variety grown in the Agios Matthaios region of Corfu. Their focus? A powerful compound called oleocanthal known for its anti-inflammatory and potential cancer-fighting properties.

Inspired by the lower colon cancer rates in Mediterranean populations where olive oil is a dietary staple, scientists set out to see if this golden elixir could take on one of the most aggressive forms of colon cancer. And guess what? It did!

In their study (published in Nutrients), they found that both pure oleocanthal and the total phenolic extract from this olive oil, when given orally, shrank tumors by a whopping 72% in just 15 days! Even better? After surgical tumor removal, continued treatment for 40 days helped prevent the cancer from coming back. This is a significant breakthrough since recurrence is a common challenge.

This isn’t just a one-time discovery, either. Previous Greek studies on animals and humans have pointed to the cancer-fighting potential of polyphenol-rich olive oil. With more research, high-phenolic olive oil could become a superfood and possibly even a super treatment in the fight against cancer!

America First! Trump Plans to Level Gaza, Rebuild It Right and Bring Real Stability

Donald Trump just dropped a geopolitical bombshell. The U.S. will “take over” Gaza, flatten it, and rebuild it from the ground up. Standing beside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump declared that Gaza has been a war-torn disaster for too long and it’s time for a radical reset. His plan? Wipe out the destruction, clear unexploded bombs, and turn Gaza into an economic hub under long-term U.S. control.

Trump didn’t mince words: no more band-aid solutions, no more endless cycles of war. Instead, the U.S. will “own it,” ensuring it never falls into chaos again. He envisions thousands of jobs, stable housing, and an infrastructure overhaul that will bring “great stability” to the region. According to Trump, world leaders are all in on the idea.

Netanyahu, never one to shy away from a shake-up, backed Trump’s vision, calling it a game-changing approach to a region plagued by terrorism and failed policies. The two also discussed wiping out Hamas, dealing with Iran, and potentially relocating Gaza’s population.

Trump dismissed rebuilding Gaza under its current leadership, insisting it’s a lost cause if the same people remain in charge. His message? The old ways failed. It is time for a total reset. Love him or hate him, Trump is ready to bulldoze the status quo-literally.
