Hot Apple Cranberry Pick-Me-Up

  • 3cups organic, unsweetened apple juice
  • 3cups organic, unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/4cup honey
  • 12 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/8tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8tsp ground allspice

  1. Place the apple juice, cranberry juice, orange slices, and honey in a large saucepan over a medium heat. Add 4 of the cinnamon sticks plus the ground cloves and allspice.
  2. Heat gently until the honey dissolves. Pour into individual mugs and serve with the additional cinnamon sticks — one in each mug as a garnish and for stirring.

Ingredients
  • 3cups organic, unsweetened apple cider
  • 2 1/2cups dry red wine
  • 1/2cup brandy
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/4cup honey
  • 12 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/8tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8tsp ground allspice

  • 2cups full-fat organic coconut milk
  • 3cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2cup cocoa powder
  • 6tbsp honey or pure maple syrup
  • 1tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2cup premium bittersweet dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1tsp teaspoon pure peppermint extract, more if desired
  • 1/8tsp sea salt
  • 1cup whipped coconut cream
  • 1/4cup shaved dark chocolate

  1. Add the coconut and almond milk to a large saucepan over a medium-high heat. Add sea salt and sift the cocoa powder in, to avoid any clumps. Whisk well and add the honey and chopped chocolate.
  2. Bring the mixture to a very gentle boil, whisking often so it doesn’t scorch and stick. Remove the cocoa from the heat and add the peppermint extract. Ladle into individual mugs and top with whipped coconut cream and dark chocolate shavings.

  • 4 Darjeeling tea bags, or loose tea
  • 1 star anise
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks, broken
  • 5pods green cardamom, crushed

  1. Bring water, honey, tea, cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, and cloves to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the milk, but do not boil — just heat thoroughly. Remove from the heat and add the tea. Allow to steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea, strain, and serve hot.

  • 1/4teaspoon ground nutmeg

  1. Using an electric mixer, beat the butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt in a medium-sized bowl until blended and smooth. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl. Add the rum and then the milk. Stir until the butter mixture dissolves. Ladle the buttered rum among 4 mugs. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
