Trump Says: Harvard’s Billions Better Spent on America’s Workers

President Donald J. Trump isn’t pulling any punches regarding draining the academic swamp. In a bold move announced on Truth Social, Trump revealed he is considering redirecting $3 billion in federal grant money from Harvard University to American trade schools—institutions he says prepare students for real jobs and build the backbone of our nation.

“For too long, Harvard and the other Ivy League elites have been handed taxpayer billions while spitting on the very country that funds them,” Trump said. “They’re filled with radical left professors pushing anti-American agendas. It’s time we stop rewarding failure and start investing in our workers.”

The move comes amid a broader effort by the Trump administration to break the grip of far-left academia and put education dollars where they matter: into vocational training, technical schools, and skilled trades. Trump has already frozen Harvard’s federal funding, citing their partisan hiring practices and refusal to align with national interests.

Harvard, predictably, is in meltdown mode. They’ve sued the administration, whining that this is an attack on “free speech.” But the real issue? Trump is standing up to their bloated bureaucracy and globalist priorities. Instead of training engineers and entrepreneurs for American industries, they’re importing thousands of foreign students—more than 7,000—while ignoring blue-collar Americans.

Under Trump’s plan, that $3 billion would fund training in welding, plumbing, coding, mechanics, and more—the essential jobs that power this country. Harvard wants to protect its ivory tower, while Trump wants to empower everyday Americans.

“We’re going to take back our education system,” Trump said. “No more handouts to elitists. Let’s build a country that works—for the people who do the work.”
