Warning Issued: Cannabis Recall in New York Over Pesticide Concerns

Cannabis users in New York, take note—a statewide recall has been issued for multiple products sold in licensed dispensaries. The New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) announced the recall after a recent round of testing uncovered unapproved pesticide residues in nine product lots produced by IndoGrow LLC.

Originally, these products were quarantined due to questionable results from a previously permitted lab. However, when the OCM retested the products through a different laboratory, they confirmed the presence of pesticides not allowed under New York’s strict cannabis safety standards. While no adverse health effects have been reported so far, the recall is a proactive step to protect public health.

Products affected include:

  • The Force Pre-Roll (SWDV01)

  • Blue Coffee Flower (IC099-001-BC) & Pre-Roll (IC099-BC1-PR)

  • Sour Runtz Flower (IC099-001-SR) & Pre-Roll (IC099-SR1-PR)

  • Cosmic Burst Flower (PPPG01)

  • Oreoz Flower (IC099-001-OR) & Pre-Roll (IC099-OR1-PR)

  • Secret Flower Formula (IC099-001-SF)

If you’ve purchased any of these items, you can return them—even if they’ve been opened—at the dispensary where you bought them.

The OCM urges consumers experiencing unusual symptoms after using any cannabis product to contact their healthcare provider or call the Poison Control Center at (800) 222-1222. You can also report cannabis-related issues directly at cannabis.ny.gov/report-an-incident.

This incident highlights the importance of rigorous testing in the legal cannabis market—ensuring what you buy is safe, tested, and traceable.
